Sujet: Casein kinases are operationally defined by their preferential utilization of acidic proteins such as caseins as substrates. CSNK1E can phosphorylate a large number of proteins. CSNK1E participates in Wnt signaling and is the central component of the circadian clock. It may act as a negative regulator of circadian rhythmicity by phosphorylating PER1 and PER2. CSNK1E inhibits cytokine-induced granuloytic differentiation.
