Sujet: The 22D1 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD209b, also known as SIGN-R1. CD209b is a single-pass type II transmembrane C-type lectin. SIGN-R1 is expressed on marginal zone macrophages in the spleen and on lymph node medullary macrophages. Mouse CD209b is one of five homologues to human CD209 (DC-SIGN) and functions to mediate the uptake of encapsulated organisms.
