Immunogène
- anti-VGLUT1 is derived from a single-domain antibody (sdAb) recognizing specifically VGLUT1 with high affinity and specificity.
-
Labeling Ratio
- Two site-specifically conjugated fluorophores per sdAb.

Commentaires

Two site-specifically coupled fluorophores per molecule. The reagent can therefore simultaneously target two fluorophores to your protein of interest, which results in enhanced image brightness. Owing to the small size of the sdAb, the distance between the target epitope and each fluorophore is below 4 nm. In comparison to conventional detection systems using conventional antibodies, this sdAb can thus improve the localization accuracy by 10-15 nm. Both features - enhanced brightness and precise fluorophore placement - renders this product superior tools for all microscopy techniques.

Stockage commentaire
- Vials containing lyophilized protein can be stored at 4 °C for 6 months. We recommend reconstituting the protein with 50 % sterile glycerol including 0.1 % sodium azide as preservative if applicable. Minimize the number of freeze-thaw cycles by aliquoting the reconstituted protein. Long term storage at -80 °C for up to 6 months. Working aliquots can be stored at -20 °C for up to 4 weeks. We do not recommend storing the reconstituted protein at 4 °C.

Sujet
- The vesicula glutamate transport 1 (vGlut1) is primarily located on the synaptic vesicles of glutamatergic synapses (excitatory). Its function is to fill the vesicles with the neurotransmitter glutamate before they fuse to the plasma membrane and release their content from the pre-synaptic compartment into the synaptic cleft to stimulate postsynaptic receptors. vGlut1 uses the energy from the proton gradient generated by the vesicular ATPase to transport glutamate inside the vesicle.
