Sujet
- Background: Bloom syndrome protein (BLM) is a RecQ DNA-helicase that plays a role in DNA replication and repair. Mutations and inactivation of BLM result in human syndromes characterized by dwarfism, infertility, erythema, learning disabilities, immune deficiency and predisposition to cancer. BLM has been shown to associate with the BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex (BASC) which contains BRCA1, MSH2, MSH6, MLH1, ATM, PMS2 and the RAD50-MRE11-NBS1 protein complex.
