- Format
- Lyophilized
- Reconstitution
- Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid votex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1 % BSA, 5 % HSA, 10 % FBS or 5 % Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles.

Description: Apolipoprotein E (Apo-E), is a member of the apolipoprotein A1/A4/E family. ApoE is a major proteincomponent of serum LDL, VLDL, HDL, and chylomicrons. APOE may function in mediating the binding, internalization, and catabolism of lipoprotein particles. It can serve as a ligand for the LDL (apo B/E) receptorand for the specific apo-E receptor (chylomicron remnant) of hepatic tissues. APOE is usually secreted inplasma. Phosphorylation sites are present in the extracellular medium.
