Mesothelin immunoreactivity is high in cancers of the ovary (serous papillary, endometrioid and undifferentiated) and pancreas, with less frequent staining seen in adenocarcinomas of the endometrium, lung and stomach/esophagus. Mesothelin is one of the most sensitive markers for mesothelioma.
