This is achieved through processes in the coagulation cascade that activate the zymogen prothrombin to the serine protease thrombin, which is responsible for converting fibrinogen into fibrin. Synonyms: Monoclonal Fibrinogen antibody, Anti-Fibrinogen antibody, FG antibody.
