Protein Background: UBE2H (Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 H) also known as E2-20K, GID3, UBC8, UBCH, UBCH2.UBE2H is a member of the E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family which is required for post-replicative DNA damage repair and plays an important role in various cellular processes. UBE2H can accept ubiquitin from the E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme that transfers ubiquitin to MAEA, a core component of the CTLH E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase complex. In vitro catalyzes 'Lys-11'- and 'Lys-48'-linked polyubiquitination. Capable, in vitro, to ubiquitinate histone H2A.
Short Description: Recombinant UBE2H protein that includes full length of human UBE2H protein (accession number NP_003335.1) was expressed in E. coli and contains an N-terminal His tag with a molecular weight of 22.82 kDa. The purity of the protein is ≥ 95 % by SDS-PAGE.
Aliases: Ubiquitin conjugating enzyme E2 H, ubiquitin carrier protein H, E2-20K, GID3, UBC8, UBCH, UBCH2
