- Sujet
- Neuropilin and tolloid-like protein 1 (NETO1) is encoded by NETO1 gene which contains 13 exons spanning more than 120 kb. It generates 3 isoforms. Isoform 1, produced by alternative usage of exon 5, encodes a 135-amino acid sequence with a classic signal peptide of 21 amino acids giving rise to a mature 114-amino acid protein with a calculated molecular mass of 15.4 kD. Isoforms 2 and 3, with start sites in exons 1a and 1b, respectively, encode distinct precursor proteins but result in a single mature protein of 511 identical amino acids with a calculated molecular mass of 57.8 kD.
