ALiCE® (Almost Living Cell-Free Expression) est une plateforme d'expression de protéines eucaryotes capable de produire des protéines à grande échelle. Le système combine les avantages de Nicotiana. Tabacum en tant que système d'expression végétal et l'expression rapide de la CFPE. ALiCE® a un rendement élevé en protéines, de l'ordre de 2 grammes par litre en moyenne, dans un délai très court de 48 heures. À des fins industrielles, le rendement peut être augmenté jusqu'à 10 litres. En outre, ALiCE® est capable d'attacher aux protéines des PTM eucaryotes tels que des schémas de glycolisation complexes.
