  • Indications d'application
Peptide ELISA: Antibody Detection Limit Dilution: 1/8000. Western Blot: Preliminary experiments gave an approx 50 kDa band in Human Kidney andLiver lysates after 0.2 μg/mL antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find anexplanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 21.0 kDaaccording to NP_061974.2. We do note that ApoM is a glycoprotein which makes a highersize band to be expected. The 50 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation withthe immunizing peptide. Immunohistochemistry: 3-6 μg/mL. In paraffin embedded Human Liver shows strong stain of cytoplasm in select hepatocytes.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

    Sujet
Apolipoprotein M is a member of the lipocalin protein family. It is found associated with high density lipoproteins and to a lesser extent with low density lipoproteins and triglyceride-rich lipoproteins. It is positively related to leptin. It is mainly expressed in liver and kidney. Apolipoprotein M is secreted through the plasma membrane but remains membrane-bound, where it is involved in lipid transport. It is important for the formation of prebeta-HDL and cholesterol efflux to HDL, and thereby inhibits formation of atherosclerotic lesions.Synonyms: Apo-M, ApoM, HSPC336, NG20, Protein G3A
