Sujet
- Background: p38 MAPK is a member of the MAP (mitogen-activated protein) kinase family that is involved in cellular signaling for a wide variety of activities which includes proliferation, differentiation, and transcriptional regulation. p38 MAPK is responsive to growth factors as well as a variety of cellular stress signals such as UV light, inflammatory cytokines, and osmotic shock. Substrates of P38 MAPK include ATF2, MEF2C, MAX, CDC25B and p53. p38 MAPK is activated by MAP kinase kinases such as MAP2K3, MAP2K6, and MAP2K4.
