Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Function: The alpha-2/delta subunit of voltage-dependent calcium channels regulates calcium current density and activation/inactivation kinetics of the calcium channel. Plays an important role in excitation-contraction coupling. Subcellular location: Membrane, Single-pass type I membrane protein Tissue specificity: Central nervous system, skeletal muscle and aorta tissues. Miscellaneous: Binds gabapentin, an antiepileptic drug. Also known as: Voltage-dependent calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha-2/delta-1, CACNL2A, CCHL2A, MHS3.
