Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, beta Polypeptide 5 (CGB5) interaction partners

  1. carriers of minor alleles of CGB (Montrer CGB Protéines) had a reduced risk of recurrent miscarriage

  2. the accumulated data indicate that only mutations with neutral or mild functional consequences might be tolerated in the major hCG-beta genes CGB5 and CGB8.

  3. Carriage of particular variants in the promoter of the CGB5 (Montrer CGB Protéines) gene seems to protect against recurrent miscarriage.

  4. compared the human (45,165 bp) and chimpanzee (39,876 bp) LHB (Montrer LHB Protéines)/CGB (Montrer CGB Protéines) regions and hereby present evidence for structural variation resulting in discordant number of CGB (Montrer CGB Protéines) genes (6 in human, 5 in chimpanzee)

  5. Data indicate the diagnostic criteria of chorionic gonadotropin beta subunit (Montrer CGB Protéines) (beta-hCG (Montrer CGA Protéines)) and alpha-Fetoprotein (Montrer AFP Protéines) (alphaFP) in CSF (Montrer CSF2 Protéines) and serum, which may advance the early and formal diagnosis of intracranial germ cell tumors (ICGCTs).

  6. Genetic variation within the CGB5 (Montrer CGB Protéines) gene is associated with recurrent spontaneous abortion risk in Chinese women.

  7. TGF-beta (Montrer TGFB1 Protéines) enhances hCG (Montrer CGA Protéines)-beta expression in glioblastoma.

  8. This study showed a link between low maternal serum hCG (Montrer CGA Protéines) levels and cryptorchidism in boys from uncomplicated pregnancy.

  9. The effect of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG (Montrer CGA Protéines)), an LH receptor (Montrer LHCGR Protéines) agonist, on APP (Montrer APP Protéines) beta-cleavage in the SH-SY5Y neuroblastoma (Montrer ARHGEF16 Protéines) cell line.

  10. Down-regulation of MTA3 (Montrer MTA3 Protéines) and up-regulation of CGB5 (Montrer CGB Protéines) and Snail (Montrer SNAI1 Protéines) are associated with preeclampsia.

Profil protéine CGB5

Profil protéine

This gene is a member of the glycoprotein hormone beta chain family and encodes the beta 5 subunit of chorionic gonadotropin (CG). Glycoprotein hormones are heterodimers consisting of a common alpha subunit and an unique beta subunit which confers biological specificity. CG is produced by the trophoblastic cells of the placenta and stimulates the ovaries to synthesize the steroids that are essential for the maintenance of pregnancy. The beta subunit of CG is encoded by 6 genes which are arranged in tandem and inverted pairs on chromosome 19q13.3 and contiguous with the luteinizing hormone beta subunit gene.
