Indications d'application
Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1: 64000. Western blot: 0.01 μg/mL. Approx.17-18 kDa band observed in Human Pancreas lysates(calculated MW of 16.8 kDa according to NP_000919.1). In transfected HEK293 transientlyexpressing PLA2G1B a band of approx.18 kDa is observed. This band is not observed in thenon-transfected HEK293. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Phospholipase A2 (EC 3.1.1.4) catalyzes the release of fatty acids from glycero-3-phosphocholines. The best known varieties are the digestive enzymes secreted as zymogens by the pancreas of mammals. Sequences of pancreatic PLA2 enzymes from a variety of mammals have been reported. One striking feature of these enzymes is their close homology to venom phospholipases of snakes. Other forms of PLA2 have been isolated from brain, liver, lung, spleen, intestine, macrophages, leukocytes, erythrocytes, inflammatory exudates, chondrocytes, and platelets (Seilhamer et al., 1986 [PubMed 3028739]).Synonyms: Group IB phospholipase A2, PLA2, PLA2A, PLA2G1B, PPLA2, Phosphatidylcholine 2-acylhydrolase 1B, Phospholipase A2
