- Sujet
- RNA Helicase A unwinds double-stranded DNA and RNA in a 3' to 5' direction. Alteration of secondary structure may subsequently influence interactions with proteins or other nucleic acids. It functions as a transcriptional activator. It binds MBD2, HRMT1L2/PRMT1, and RELA. It may act to directly link BRCA1, CREBBP or SMN1 and the RNA polymerase II complex. It can also interact with XRCC5 and with TOP2A in a RNA dependent manner, these interactions may be indirect. Interaction with TOP2A is promoted by UBC9 (referenced from swissprot).Synonyms: ATP-dependent RNA helicase A, DDX9, DEAH box protein 9, DHX-9, LKP, NDH II, NDH2, Nuclear DNA helicase II
