    Fonction
MYPT1 is a protein encoded by the PPP1R12A gene which is approximately 115,2 kDa. MYPT1 is localised to the cytoplasm. It is involved in the activation of cAMP-dependent PKA, beta-adrenergic signalling, vascular smooth muscle contraction and actin nucleation by ARP-WASP complex. It regulates the interaction of actin and myosin downstream of the guanosine triphosphatase Rho and is also a key regulator of protein phosphatase 1C. MYPT1 is expressed in striated muscles, specifically in type 2a fibres. Mutations in the PPP1R12A gene may result in infratentorial cancer and medullomyoblastoma. STJ90822 was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This primary antibody specifically binds to endogenous MYPT1 protein which only binds about T853 when T853 is phosphorylated.
    Specificité
Phospho-MYPT1 (T853) Polyclonal Antibody detects endogenous levels of MYPT1 protein only when phosphorylated at T853.
