This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-PAPD4 antibody (Catalog #: ARP49115_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
PAPD4 is a cytoplasmic poly(A) RNA polymerase that adds successive AMP monomers to the 3'-end of specific RNAs, forming a poly(A) tail. In contrast to the canonical nuclear poly(A) RNA polymerase, it only adds poly(A) to selected cytoplasmic mRNAs. PAPD4 belongs to the DNA polymerase type-B-like family, GLD2 subfamily.
