Recombinant Human Serum Amyloid A-4 Protein/SAA4 is produced with our E. coli expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Glu19-Thr130) of Human SAA4 fused with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.
Serum Amyloid A-4 Protein (SAA4) is a member of the SAA family. SAA proteins are a family of apolipoproteins associated with high-density lipoprotein (HDL) in plasma. SAA4 is constitutively expressed only in humans and mice. Its physiological function is unknown. SAA4 functions as a major acute phase reactant. SAA4 mRNA and protein occurrence in macrophage derived foam cells of coronary and carotid arteries implied a specific role of human SAA4 during inflammation including atherosclerosis. - Poids moléculaire
