NHP2 localizes to the dense fibrillar component of the nucleolus and in nuclear Cajal bodies. NHP2 may also be required for correct processing or intranuclear trafficking of TERC, the RNA component of the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) holoenzyme.
