Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstituting to a concentration more than 100 μg/mL is recommended. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in distilled water.

The potential application of glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (gastric inhibitory polypeptide, GIP) in the management of obesity and type 2 diabetes has been controversial.
