dual oxidase Udx1 has a role in the oxidative burst at fertilization
The duox expression in zebrafish during early nervous system development from 12 to 48 hours post fertilization.
The results reveal a crucial role for TNFalpha (Montrer TNF Kits ELISA)/TNFR2 (Montrer TNFRSF1B Kits ELISA) axis in the protection of the skin against DUOX1-mediated oxidative stress.
extracellular ATP acting as an early danger signal is responsible for the activation of Duox1 via a P2YR/PLC (Montrer PLC Kits ELISA)/Ca(2 (Montrer CA2 Kits ELISA)+) signaling pathway and the production of H2O2
Zebrafish duox is highly expressed in intestinal epithelial cells. Knockdown of Duox impaired larval capacity to control enteric Salmonella infection.
DUOX1 missense mutation plays a role in congenital hypothyroidism.
Our findings implicate epithelial DUOX1 as a pivotal mediator of IL-33 (Montrer IL33 Kits ELISA)-dependent activation of innate airway type 2 immune responses to common airborne allergens and indicate that enhanced DUOX1 expression and IL-33 (Montrer IL33 Kits ELISA) secretion might present important contributing features of allergic asthma.
Cox (Montrer COX8A Kits ELISA) multivariate regression analysis demonstrated that DUOX1, GLS2 (Montrer GLS2 Kits ELISA), FBP1 (Montrer FBP1 Kits ELISA) and age were independent risk factors for the prognosis of HCC (Montrer FAM126A Kits ELISA) patients after surgery
DUOX1 expression in liver tumors is a potential prognostic tool for patients.
Nox4 (Montrer NOX4 Kits ELISA) and Duox1/Duox2 mediate redox activation of mesenchymal cell migration by PDGF (Montrer PDGFA Kits ELISA).
These data reveal a key role of DUOX1-dependent hydrogen peroxide production in long-term persistent radio-induced DNA damage.
Studies demonstrate the importance of DUOX1 in epithelial redox signaling through reversible S-glutathionylation of a range of proteins, including proteins involved in cytoskeletal regulation and MAPK (Montrer MAPK1 Kits ELISA) signaling pathways involved in cell migration.
Duox2 (Montrer DUOX2 Kits ELISA) proteins possessing the A-loops of Nox1 (Montrer NOX1 Kits ELISA) or Nox5 (Montrer NOX5 Kits ELISA) co-expressed with DuoxA2 (Montrer DUOXA2 Kits ELISA) showed enhanced O2 () release, and Duox1 proteins possessing the A-loops of Nox1 (Montrer NOX1 Kits ELISA) or Nox5 (Montrer NOX5 Kits ELISA) co-expressed with DuoxA1 (Montrer DUOXA1 Kits ELISA) acquired O2 () leakage
DUOX1 is the major H2O2-producing source in NHKs stimulated with Ca(2 (Montrer CA2 Kits ELISA)+), and plays a significant role in regulating the expression of specific markers necessary for the normal differentiation of keratinocytes
Further, ROS (Montrer ROS1 Kits ELISA) generated by Duox enzymes localized adjacent to nuclear speckles altered the splicing of viral genes
Redox-dependent regulation of EGFR (Montrer EGFR Kits ELISA) activation in airway epithelial cells was found to strongly depend on activation of either DUOX1 or NOX2 (Montrer CYBB Kits ELISA).
findings suggest that LPS (Montrer TLR4 Kits ELISA)-TLR-4 (Montrer TLR4 Kits ELISA)-induced KC or MIP-2 (Montrer CXCL2 Kits ELISA) cytokine induction and subsequent neutrophil recruitment in the airway does not require DUOX-derived hydrogen peroxide from airway epithelium
These findings suggest that DUOX-derived H2O2 has an important role in signaling neutrophils into allergic airways
PA-LPS (Montrer TLR4 Kits ELISA)-induced MUC5AC and Clca3 expression is partly through Duox1
In vivo DUOX1 silencing significantly suppressed naphthalene-induced activation of STAT3 (Montrer STAT3 Kits ELISA).
Urothelial cells produce hydrogen peroxide through the activation of Dual oxidase 1
Duox1 is the main source of H(2)O(2) in the rat thyroid cell line PCCl3.
The protein encoded by this gene is a glycoprotein and a member of the NADPH oxidase family. The synthesis of thyroid hormone is catalyzed by a protein complex located at the apical membrane of thyroid follicular cells. This complex contains an iodide transporter, thyroperoxidase, and a peroxide generating system that includes proteins encoded by this gene and the similar DUOX2 gene. This protein is known as dual oxidase because it has both a peroxidase homology domain and a gp91phox domain. This protein generates hydrogen peroxide and thereby plays a role in the activity of thyroid peroxidase, lactoperoxidase, and in lactoperoxidase-mediated antimicrobial defense at mucosal surfaces. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been described for this gene.
