  1. The mechanism of transition from nondifferentiated to differentiated states in HepaRG cells was studed by proteomics. Two key factors (MMP-14 (Montrer MMP14 Anticorps) and OCLN) were validated by qRT-PCR and Western blot.

  2. Intracellular zinc has an essential role in the maintenance of the intestinal epithelial tight junction barrier through regulation of occludin proteolysis and claudin-3 (Montrer CLDN3 Anticorps) transcription.

  3. Data suggest that long noncoding RNA PlncRNA1 and microRNA miR (Montrer MLXIP Anticorps)-34c bound together to regulate the expressions of MAZ (Montrer MAZ Anticorps), ZO-1 (Montrer TJP1 Anticorps) and occludin.

  4. Study provides evidence that occludin contributes to the regulation of size-reductive proliferation and epithelial cell maturation in a phosphorylation-dependent manner.

  5. Report shows that silencing MARCH3 (Montrer MARCH3 Anticorps) protects the endothelial barrier and upregulates OCLN in MARCH3 (Montrer MARCH3 Anticorps)-depleted cells. MARCH3 (Montrer MARCH3 Anticorps) silencing results in the strengthening of cell-cell contacts and inactivates FoxO1 (Montrer FOXO1 Anticorps).

  6. STAT3 activation downregulates the ZO-1 and occludin levels and increases the endothelial permeability through the induction of VEGF production in retinal endothelial cells.

  7. Downregulation of OCLN is associated with clear cell renal cell carcinoma (Montrer MOK Anticorps).

  8. These data suggest that the Rho/ROCK signaling pathway is involved in HIV-1 Tat (Montrer TAT Anticorps)-mediated changes in occludin, RAGE (Montrer AGER Anticorps), and LRP1 (Montrer LRP1 Anticorps) in human cerebral microvascular endothelial cells cells.

  9. OCLN is essential for HCV infection of human hepatic cells.

  10. OCLN and ZO1 (Montrer TJP1 Anticorps) levels appear to be early prognostic markers in patients suffering from sepsis.

  4. These data demonstrate a novel mechanism of VEGF (Montrer VEGFA Anticorps)-induced occludin phosphorylation and ubiquitination that contributes to TJ trafficking and subsequent vascular permeability.

Mouse (Murine) Occludin (OCLN) interaction partners

  1. Occludin expression by epidermal gammadelta T cells upon activation in response to epidermal stress allows them to move, which could be important for augmentation of immune responses via collaboration with other cells.

  2. Intracellular zinc has an essential role in the maintenance of the intestinal epithelial tight junction barrier through regulation of occludin proteolysis and claudin-3 (Montrer CLDN3 Anticorps) transcription.

  3. miR (Montrer MLXIP Anticorps)-429 could down-regulate the expression of Ocln by targeting the Ocln 3'-UTR (Montrer UTS2R Anticorps), which impaired intestinal barrier function in diabetes mellitus mice.

  4. STAT3 activation downregulates the ZO-1 and occludin levels and increases the endothelial permeability through the induction of VEGF production in retinal endothelial cells.

  5. Tricellulin (Montrer MARVELD2 Anticorps) is a specific redox sensor and sealing element at 3-cell contacts and may compensate as a redox mediator for occludin loss at 2-cell contacts in vivo and in vitro.

Occludin (OCLN) profil antigène

Antigen Summary

This gene encodes an integral membrane protein that is required for cytokine-induced regulation of the tight junction paracellular permeability barrier. Mutations in this gene are thought to be a cause of band-like calcification with simplified gyration and polymicrogyria (BLC-PMG), an autosomal recessive neurologic disorder that is also known as pseudo-TORCH syndrome. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. A related pseudogene is present 1.5 Mb downstream on the q arm of chromosome 5.
