Épitope: pSer1981

Specificité: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site. ATM (phospho-Ser1981) antibody detects endogenous levels of ATM only when phosphorylated at serine 1981.

Purification: Immunoaffinity chromatography.

Immunogène: The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human ATM around the phosphorylation site of serine 1981 (E-G-SP-Q-S).

ATM belongs to a novel family of proteins associated with cell cycle regulation, apoptosis, and response to DNA damage repair (DNA damage caused by such things as ionizing irradiation activates ATM kinase).
