    Sujet
GABA A Receptor beta 3 is one of at least 13 distinct subunits of a multisubunit chloride channel that serves as the receptor for gamma-aminobutyric acid, the major inhibitory transmitter of the nervous system. The GABAA receptor complex is the molecular target of the benzodiazepine class of tranquilizer drugs, and hence it is also often referred to as the 'benzodiazepine receptor'. The GABAA receptor complex also appears to have distinct binding sites for a variety of other pharmaco-active compounds.Synonyms: GABA A receptor subunit beta-3, GABRB-3, Gamma-aminobutyric acid receptor subunit beta-3
