    Purification
Anti-Synaptotagmin 1 pS309 Antibody is directed against rat Synaptotagmin 1 phosphorylated at pS309. Synaptotagmin antibody was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. Reactivity is expected from the following species based on 100% sequence homology: bovine, canine, chicken, human, mouse, non-human primate and zebra fish. Cross-reactivity with from other species has not been determined.
    Immunogène

Immunogen: Anti-Synaptotagmin pS309 Antibody was produced in rabbit by repeated immunizations with synthetic phospho-peptide corresponding to amino acid residues surrounding Ser309 of Synaptotagmin.

Background: Synaptotagmin 1 pS309 Antibody detects Synaptotagmin 1, which is a synaptic vesicle membrane glycoprotein that is widely expressed throughout the CNS. It is generally thought to act as the Ca2+ sensor in the regulation of exocytosis and neurotransmitter release. Recent studies indicate that synaptotagmin's Ca2+ mediated binding of SNAP25 is essential for the Ca2+ dependent triggering of membrane fusion. It has recently been demonstrated that discrete residues within the c(2)b binding domain of synaptotagmin 1 independently specify endocytic rate and synaptic vesicle size. Synaptotagmin can be phosphorylated by multiple protein kinases and this may play a key role in modulation of synaptotagmin's ability to influence both the exocytotic and endocytotic components of synaptic transmission. Anti-Synaptotagmin 1 pS309 Antibody is ideal for investigators involved in Cell Signaling, Neuroscience, Signal Transduction research.
