- Background: ASAP2 (ArfGAP with SH3 domain, ankyrin repeat and PH domain 2) activates the small GTPases ARF1, ARF5 and ARF6. It regulates the formation of post-Golgi vesicles and modulates constitutive secretion. ASAP2 also modulates phagocytosis mediated by Fc gamma receptor and ARF6 as well as PXN recruitment to focal contacts and cell migration [taken from the Universal Protein Resource (UniProt) O43150].
