    Specificité
Recognizes human CD193, otherwise known as CC chemokine receptor 3 (CCR3), a seven-helix transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor which, along with and, acts as a principal receptor for the fusion and entry of HIV into target cells. CD193 is expressed by eosinophils, basophils, mast cells, microglia, Th2 helper cells and some epithelial cells. CD193 acts as a receptor for several CC chemokines including monocyte chemoattractant proteins (MCP) -1, -2, -3 and -4, MIP-1a, MIP-1AY, and RANTES. The eotaxin subgroup of CC chemokines act as specific agonists for CD193, and this interaction has become a focus area for studies into the infection of microglia by HIV and allergy research. Has been used successfully for the detection of human CD193 by immunohistochemistry on formalin fixed, paraffin embedded intervertebral disc tissue.
