- Sujet
- Human C5a is 74 amino acids long and is a potent anaphylatoxin and chemotactic factor that stimulates directed migration of neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils and monocytes. Of all of the anaphylatoxic peptides generated by the activation of the complement system, C5a elicits the broadest range of activity. This activity includes the degranulation of mast cells and basophils, increased vascular permeability and the induction of cytokine synthesis by leukocytes.Synonyms: CPAMD4, Complement Component 5
