Sujet: The scavenger receptor class B member 1 (SR-B1 or Scarb1) is a glycosylated cell surface receptor for high density lipoproteins (HDL), oxidized low density lipoproteins (OxLDL), and phosphocholine-containing oxidized phospholipids (PC-OxPLs). Scarb1 is expressed in macrophages and has been shown to have both pro- and anti-atherogenic properties.
